  1. Below is a sample of a short article I wrote for my tech blog on Technobuffalo. I was also interested in helping out the Youtube portion of Gadget Experts by doing video reviews whenever I had a product to review. If you need a sample review, I am willing to send one in upon request. Thanks for viewing my application and have a nice day.

    Apple’s New Battery Charger

    Posted on 27 July 2010

Along with updates to the iMac and Mac Pro, Apple decided to release a couple new products. Apple released the new 27″ cinema display, the Magic Trackpad, and, the most unexpected and partially overlooked, Apple Battery Charger.
Coming out as one of Apple’s cheapest devices, Apple decided that they would design their own battery charger. This makes sense seeing that their new Magic Trackpad will use AA batteries along with their bluetooth keyboard and Magic Mouse.
This device ships with six AA batteries and the charger itself. ”So what’s the ‘magic’ feature,” you ask? Apple says that their design cuts down on the normal “vampire draw” that happens with other battery chargers. This means that once your batteries finish charging, Apple’s wall charger reduces the amount of energy it takes in. ”After your battery charge cycle is complete, the Apple Battery Charger reduces its power intake to 30 milliwatts.” This seems like a large amount in comparison to the normal 315.
While all of this is impressing and will save you a bit of money on that energy bill, if you really cared about how much energy it was taking in, wouldn’t you just unplug it?
This device will cost you about $29.00 and will be a great new device four your Apple filled household.
